As you can see its a kind of 'works in progress' car. And fairly slow progress at that!
Anyway, if you look beneath the surface you see there's quite a lot of goodness to be had.
For a start, the car cost me £70, so not worried about general appearence. Stood idle for two years, the kid had lost total interest. He had put 13" wheels on which cost him £250. So basically i said, you keep the wheels and i'll take the car. It was a non-starter but i soon fixed that.
Once given a good going over, aside from a few external blemishes, the bodywork showed to be in absolutely fantastic condition. This was proved by the fact that the rear subframe came straight out reveavling shiny paint underneath!
Just this morning i've put the chrome on the front and the bonnet which came from my last mini.
However, much more important is the other stuff i've put on.

I know the bodywork aint all that but i'm in no hurry, its not going anywhere. I'd sooner have a 1380 with all the trimmings! |
