Model: 1960 something (don't know what year) cooper fitted with an 850

Spec: Engine: 850cc block with 1275cc Cooper ‘S’ cylinder head, lightened and balanced, 649 (full race) camshaft, lightened rockers, Weber 45 carburettor, ‘team coldwell’ inlet manifold, 13 row oil cooler, front mounted radiator, Lucas rev limiter set to 8000rpm, maniflow polished stainless steel LCB manifold, large bore (very loud) cooper sports exhaust, expansion tank, competition fuel filter, rocker cover with improved fins on top, lightened flywheel, competition spark plugs and HT leads, run on Castrol R racing oil, competition fuel pump, lightened where ever possible. Gearbox: 4-speed box, straight cut close ratio gears, LSD (a gate to prevent the car being put into reverse while racing, quick shift gear lever. Suspension: Koni shock absorbers front & rear, negative camber, competition bushes. Brakes: 7.5 Cooper ‘S’ discs at front with Cooper ‘S’ rear brake drums with built in spacer, braided hoses. Wheels & tyres: 10 x 7.5 4 spoke rims with painted spokes (red), Dunlop racing slicks (a bit tired now though). Exterior: Group 5 arches, alloy doors, fibre glass boot, full fibre glass one piece removable front with moulded in front spoiler (reduces drag), fibre glass roof, Perspex windows with ventilation holes (doesn’t steam up the inside), chrome window wipers and washer jets, breather pipe for fuel tank, emergency cut off switch, bonnet vent for the Weber 45 carburettor, rear valance and bumpers have been removed to reduce weight, (the car itself weighs as much as an anorexic sparrow!). Interior: interior has been stripped with just a bucket seat with a 4-point harness for the driver, lowered steering column, 3-spoke Astrali steering wheel, Paddy Hopkirk throttle pedal, fly-off handbrake (allows you to do handbrake turns without pushing the button in) Smiths rev counter 0-10,000rpm, oil pressure gauge & water temperature gauge, door skins have been removed along with the door bins and rear seats! Oil pressure warning light.
