The top picture here, although not very good, was taken as soon as I got the car home. The second picture was after washing and waxing, and the grille and bumpers having been cleaned!
May 28, 2002 Updates!!
The car has been tuned and fixed and thissed and thatted! It now gets 45.78 mpg! MUCH better than three months ago!!
I repaired some of the rusted spots myself with some success. Replaced brakes, tires, and such this week. Improving every day!! |

All rust spots included, no extra charge! Paid about $700 for it. Faded paint and stinky inside and all. The first day I compounded the paint and waxed heavily, and waxed again after two weeks. Treated the rust and purchased some Bondo to fill some of the holes. The chrome bumpers had surface rust, but much of that came off. I have also recovered the seats and scrubbed the inside from one end to the other. Took out the carpets and washed them thoroughly! Have also changed spark plugs and cables, distributor, rotor, points, oil, valve cover gasket.
Now I will just fix-er-up as I can afford. This is the coolest car I have ever owned!! |
