Body - 1980 mini, re-shelled, front and rear bumpers removed, front wings modified for bigger wheels, vented bonnet, bulk head mod's for turbo, sports pack arches, painted Ferrari Fly yellow with back roof, laminated front screen, tinted glass, white lenses, chrome bits etc..
Suspension - Adjusta-rides & Spax socks all round, Fully Rose Jointed (adjustable on car) bottom arms at front, adjustable tie rods, adjustable rear camber brackets, lowered shock mounts, alloy subframe mounts. 13 X 7 superlight alloy wheels, with 175X50 13" a008's yoko's. All suspension has been setup by Ednaf of Owens Motorsport Fabrication, all corner weights etc set.
Brakes - Cross drilled and groved front discs with Minispares Alloy four pot callipers, Super minifin vented rear drums, braided brake hoses all round. Late type mini brake servo
Engine - Home Built (By Myself and Dave Coxon) Metro A+ 1275 Block +020 making 1293
Modified Omega 10cc Pistons, Balanced on A+ rods, Genuine Turbo EN40B Crank,fitted with steel centre main strap ARP Rod Bolts, New lead copper Turbo VP2 Bearings. T3 Piper turbo cam, chilled iron cam followers, duplex timing gear, High capacity oil pump, ultralight streel pre verto flywheel, grey diaphragm, AP sintered paddle clutch (all fully balanced by racespec) Stage 4 turbo head with 35mm inlet and 29mm exhaust valves 30cc combustion chambers. Ford Zetec Undercrown cooling jets. Emerald M3D Distributerless fully mapable ignition, T2 Garrett Water cooled Turbo, Land Rover TD5 intercooler, running at aprox 15 psi. Group A dump valve. Avonbar Super 2 core radiator, oil cooler, Custom made exhaust system. Braided fuel and oil hoses, silicon water hoses. K&N air filter, and air breathers Producing over 158 BHP @ 6274 and 163.2 lbft @ 4674. (I say over as clucth slipping on rollers, clucth has now been uprated).
Gearbox - Rebuilt Metro Turbo box, S/C 1:1 drop gears, TRAN X crosspin 3.76 diff & Central oil pickup pipe.
Interior - John Alley full 6 point roll cage, 4 point race harness, Recaro seats, custom ally / carbon fibre.

This car is currently getting rebuilt, and the following changes to be compleated by summer 04
Body - . Curely Carbon Fibre Boot, doors, and boot floorand flip front to be fitted. Glass to be replaced with polycarbonate
Suspension - Front And rear anti roll bars to be fitted, and some form of light weight trailng arms.
Brakes - Change to Twin master cylinders, and bin the heavy servo, KAD rear disk brakes
Engine - Dry deck the head and block, for better cooling and less head gasket failures. 1.5:1 Full roller rockers to be fitted
Gearbox - Rebuilt Metro Challenge Turbo box, and mate to TRAN X LSD
Interior - Replace roll Cage with lighter and stronger miglia style cage, and curley carbon fibre dash, and light weight seats. Compaq IPAQ mounted to dash to replace most of dials |
