This car is my pride and joy, previously a Rover demonstrator, I purchased it in July 1995 with 120 miles on the clock. It remaind standard for nearly an hour, as I got home and fitted all the bits I had taken from my previous car (much to the neighbours amazement).
I've done all the shows and runs, and even done the Lord Mayors parade through the centre of London with the Mini Cooper Register. When I first bought my Mini I did the concours thing, but got fed up of polishing ad decided it was time to enjoy my mini instead (it was my only car anyway), then in 1998 it was vandalised quite badly outside a pub while at a club meeting, thats when the transformation began, which took about 3 years. When finished (well, are they ever finished?) my Mini was featured in Mini Magazine.
Unfortunateley my Mini has been off the road for the past two years due to ill health, but should be returning with a vengance in time for Mini45. |
