Spec: Body: 1966 Cooper S, frame off complete restoration, new nose, fenders, flitch panels, sills and drip rails. Body sprayed with anti rust treatment after bare metal finish. Painted with Dupont Deltron, Two Pak almond green with old english white top, underbody coated with anti-rust undercoating, sills and inner fender wells coated with chip guard and color coded. No outright body modifications have been performed. Mini Sport WP Deluxe Flares. All body trim replaced with new original pieces. Door channels, drain tubes, hinges and hardware renewed. Rear sub-frame new and both front and rear are sprayed with anti rust treatment and painted with gloss black Dupont Emeron. All nuts, bolts screws etc. through out entire car replaced with stainless steel hardware. WicPak headlamps with GE super blue 65-watt bulbs, Mini Shop classic stainless steel side mirror. Fuel fillers are Aston flip and lock type. Engine: 1275 cc 1968 Cooper S thick flange block, bored 0.40 over (finish bore 2.820) (decked, 025), oil galleries drilled and tapped for threaded plugs, engine flange to transmission case bolt holes drilled and tapped to 5/16. Cooper S EN40B crank wedged and knife edged with Cooper S bottom end bolts (stroke 3.210), Cooper S rods flash ground and shot peaned with ARP rod bolts, Cooper S flat top pistons, Steel billet road lightened flywheel and backing plate, AP Racing blue rally clutch and pressure plate. Entire assembly balanced. Mini sport vernier adjustable Belt type cam drive with Kent 286 scatter pattern cam. 12G940 head ported, polished and gas flowed with 1.455 inlet valves and 1.156 exhaust valves, Mini Sport roller tip 1.5 alloy rockers, Kent VS2 dual springs/retainers and CF1 chill cast cam followers all held down with ARP head bolts (11.25 to 1 compression ratio). Cooling system assisted by Mini Sport Hi flow alloy water pump, Coopers 4 core Radiator assisted with smaller transmission radiator mounted between radiator and flitch panel, plumbed into heater circuit. 6 blade fan and thermostatically controlled electric fan mounted to exterior flitch panel inside wheel well. Lubrication system assisted by Mini Sport Hi Flow star drive oil pump, Mini Spares adjustable HPS4 oil pressure control, 13 row oil cooler, extra long magnetic drain plug, magnom magnetic oil filtration system added to oil filter. Maniflow LCB exhaust with Jet Hot coating joined to stainless steel Back pipe with cherry bomb mid muffler and Mintex Stainless Steel DTM back box. Carbureation is 1.5 inch SU’s with K&N cone filters. Stock SU fuel pump. Transmission: Mini Sport 5 Speed with 3:44 final drive running through a Mini Sport 4 pin differential. Yoke type drive shafts with Quinton hazel roller bearing u joints. Suspension: Spax coil over shockers rear lowered 1.5 inches and poly-cones replacing the rubber cones at the front with Hi-Lo's set to 1.5 inches lower. Front lower arms fixed 1.5 degree negative camber, adjustable heavy-duty tie rods. KAD rear alloy-trailing arms with Mini Sport adjustable camber brackets. Brakes: Mk 1 servo assisted KAD 4 pot alloy calipers with 7.9 inch vented discs and EBC Green Stuff pads. Rear twin leading shoe brakes with Mini Sport alloy super fin drums, rear brake hydraulics are adjustable for front/rear balance with adjuster mounted in engine compartment. Hand brake cables run through KAD rear alloy hand brake quadrants. Stainless Steel braided brake lines all around. Wheels and Tires: GB alloys, minilite type that have been bead blasted and polished to a high chrome like appearance with centers color coded to car color, YOKO A008’s on all 4, spare wheel original Cooper S 4.5 reverse painted old english white with KUMO 145 x 10 tyre. Interior: Newton green and gray with Cooper S recliner type front seats. Mini Shop stainless steel rear view mirror, Smiths gauges with magnolia facia’s, Safety Devices rear roll cage painted almond green. Moto Lita wood and alloy steering wheel. Additional Info: Every seal, gasket, nut, bolt, rubber has been renewed, all door hinges, window channels, locks, handles etc have been renewed or replaced. There is not a part that has not been dealt with. Restoration began September of 1997 and took approximately 2500 hours.
